A body was recovered from the channel in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek late Sunday afternoon, according to Sudpresse. The information was confirmed by Johan Berckmans, Brussels West Police (Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, Berchem-Sint-Agatha, Koekelberg, Ganshoren and Jette).
A call was received around 5.45 pm to alert of the presence of a body in the canal under the bridge near Chaussée de Gand. Firefighters were mobilized and the body was picked up.
