Charles Michel in China – around 20 partnership agreements to support investment in China

Around twenty investment contracts or engagement contracts were signed at the Belgian embassy in Peking on Sunday, under the aegis of Charles Michel. He was in the Chinese capital for two days to work on bilateral investments.

Belgian frontrunners in construction, infrastructure, technology and financial services such as Besix, Barco, DEME and Nagelmackers are among the partners involved. Other examples are Proximus, the Zeebrugge port and the new China-Belgium technology centre in Louvain-la-Neuve, which is promoted by Awex.

Vilvorde Projectbuilders, a Videohouse division not far from the Brussels ring-road, will supply 35 million euros worth of audio-visual services to local partners.

The Huyghe brewery (Delirium) in Melle, Eastern Flanders, has signed an exclusivity contract with distributer Vandergeeten to affirm its position as a Belgian leader in special beers for the Chinese market. The contract is renewable after three years.
