The Standard and Poor’s (S&P), an American financial institution, has highlighted the “very efficient” financial management of the Brussels-Capital region. “It’s a huge bonus”, the Brussels Budget and Finance Minister Guy Vanhengel said on Friday evening, “as it confirms that we are continuing to do excellent work with regards to finance.”
“In 2017, the Brussels-Capital Region was showing better budget results thanks to very efficient financial management,” the March 2018 report starts. “The region maintains its position of favourable liquidity.”
S&P confirmed the long-term AA grade, emphasising the region’s stable perspectives.
