Corelio ends 2014 with consolidated net profit of 1.8 million euros

The media group Corelio ended 2014 with a consolidated net profit of 1.8 million euros, and with recurrent earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and depreciation (EBITDA) of 37.6 million euros. 2014 figures were mostly the result of the one-off costs of restructuring operations on the one hand, and of profit from the sale of Editions de l’Avenir on the other, explained Corelio on Friday. 2014 saw radical changes for the media group. In particular, Corelio went through the operational launch of Mediahuis, the conclusion of negotiations regarding the acquisition of NRC Media by Mediahuis, the finalising of a partnership project between Telenet and De Vijver Media, and the formal sale of Editions de l’Avenir. Important restructuring projects took place within Mediahuis and Corelio printing as well.

Corelio expects an upsurge in profits for 2015. “Taking into account the positive trend for Mediahuis shares, the restructuring effort taking place, and the acquisition of NRC Media,” the media group banks on an increase of its EBITDA of 60%.
