InBev Belgium invests 5.7 million Euros in Hoegaarden

InBev Belgium is to invest 5.7 million euros in its Hoegaarden brewery this year. The aim is to increase production volumes and fermentation capacities, to meet growing demand for Hoegaarden beer worldwide, especially in Asia. The new fermentation tanks should be used from early 2016, announced InBev Belgium on Thursday.

“Modernisation of the brewing house will increase capacity by 30%,” explains the brewery in a press release. Work is due to start next week and will be completed in Q3 2016.

Hoegaarden’s white beer is increasingly popular abroad, and it is sold in over 70 countries. 80% of Hoegaarden’s production is currently exported.
