European Business Network annual congress taking place in Brussels

The annual congress of the European Business Network, takes place this week in Brussels, on 28 – 30 October, under the headline “New Frontiers for Innovative Entrepreneurs”.

EBN is a network of around 150 quality-certified business and innovation centers and 100 other organizations that support the development and growth of innovative entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs in Europe.

This year’s EBN congress is focused on the different frontiers that startups and entrepreneurs are facing when developing innovative businesses: frontiers in technology, society, financing, internationalization, and innovation. Additional thematic frontiers in bio-economy, creative economy and green economy will allow participants to focus in specific areas of interest.

Across five plenary sessions and nine parallel sessions the congress will deliver key note addresses, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and entrepreneur pitching. There will be time for networking and B2B meetings with the 400+ predicted participants.

In times of economic crisis, with Euroscepticism running high among SMEs in EU’s new member states who feel squeezed out by EU regulations, the conference should go some way in contributing to promoting best EU practice in supporting start-ups and innovative entrepreneurs.
