On Thursday, the Chamber has adopted the bill for the privatization of public sector enterprises that are quoted on the stock exchange, without necessarily having to block the minority. This announcement clearly targets both Bpost and Proximus. André Blaise, head of the CSC Transcom reacted on Friday: "this marks the end of public companies."
The representative of the Christian union then added: "We should not delude ourselves: private investors who will put in capital will not be there to ensure that the public service missions of the company are met. What they will want is a return on their investment. I find it a strange way to thank the Bpost staff who have put so much efforts for so many years."
