Walloon region to finance SME IPOs

The Walloon government has allocated 25 million euros so that SRIW (Wallonia Regional Investment Company) can finance new listings of local businesses, reveals the daily L’Echo on Wednesday. The funds will be offered as loans to help Walloon SMEs bear the costs of an initial public offer.

The Walloon government hopes to make financing more accessible to businesses, so they can grow and create jobs. The other aim is to stop businesses leaving the region.
