BNP Fortis accelerates closure of its branches

BNP Paribas Fortis bank is accelerating the closure of some of its branches, L’Echo reported on Saturday.  2,000 jobs will also be lost over the next three years, as announced last year.

BNP still had more than 680 branches at the end of 2018, after several downsizing operations (not including its second commercial branch, Fintro). The bank announced that 62 of its branches would close in 2019 last October. BNP does not yet know how many branches will be added to this list. The bank will start closures in early April and will announce the results later.
