The electric scooters have become a common sight in Belgium’s larger cities this year. Starting from this weekend, the self-service model will also be introduced in Ostende and De Haan on the Belgian coast by Flash, a Berlin based start-up which has recently raised 55 million euros.
During the summer, locals and visitors of other Belgian coastal cities will also find the electric scooters on the streets.
The arrival of Flash in Ostende has resulted in 10 new jobs. Starting from Saturday, Flash intends to run informational campaigns to potential new users in Ostende and De Haan.
Staff will showcase the scooters tomorrow morning at Ostende train station, Venetiaanse Gaanderijen, and Koninklijk Plein in De Haan.
