Xavier Damman Named “Innovator of the Year” by MIT Magazine

Belgian national Xavier Damman, founder of Storify, was selected Innovator of the Year at an award ceremony organized by the American MIT Technology Review magazine and BNP Paribas Fortis in Brussels. The 35-year-old entrepreneur was rewarded for his career and his latest project, Open Collective, a financing platform which seeks transparency.

In all, eight Belgian laureates were awarded prizes. Among these is also Steven Vercammen, named Social Innovator of 2016 for his EVapp project, an application which allows medical volunteers to be alerted when an accident occurs, making it possible for them to quickly arrive at the site.
