In Belgium, 1,200 Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones were requested through advance orders. The South Korean manufacturer of these smartphones with battery problems potentially causing explosions decided to definitively halt production.
One thousand two hundred people who have advance orders on these smartphones will receive refunds or will be able to chose another Samsung smartphone of a similar type, with a refund of any overpayment considered, stated Koen Dekoning, spokesperson for Samsung.
“We will warn our distributors. But in any case, clients can obtain refunds at their point of sale.” The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 costs 849 euros in Belgium.
