The price of Belgian mobile is within the average of its neighbors

The price of mobile communication, voice and data usage on a contract have highly decreased between 2012 and 2014. The price of Belgian plans have stayed stable ever since. The Institut Belge des services Portaux et des telecommutions (IBPT) have reported that the Belgian placement has decreased with respect to its neighbors. They observed from this study that there is less and less of a difference in pricing between each member state; the price has risen in the cheapest countries (generally France) and it has decreased in the most expensive countries (Germany)

Concerning data usage, the prices have heavily decreased generally since 2014 and now have stabilized, it is important to note that Belgian data tariffs are still the highest in respect to its neighboring states.

For plans of “triple play or quadruple play” and for landline usage, prices in Belgium are situated within the average.

In total 715 plans have been compared in six different member states and the data was compiled in august.
