Belgium has second highest Q2 job vacancy rate in EU

Belgium’s job vacancy rate was 3.3% in the second quarter of this year, one of the highest in the European Union (EU),  Eurostat reported on Friday. Belgium’s rate was second only to that of the Czech Republic (3.6%), with Germany in third place on 2.7%.

The job vacancy rate for the entire Euro zone was 1.9%, while the rate for the EU28 was 2.0%.

The lowest rates were registered in Greece (0.7%), Bulgaria, Cyprus and Spain (0.8% each) and Portugal (0.9%).
