Ryanair moves spare parts out of the UK and into the EU before Brexit

Ryanair has decided to take precautions in case there is a hard Brexit. They have moved some of their spare parts out of the central storage unit in the UK and sent them to European sites.

A Ryanair maintenance director told German press agency DPA that that a no-deal Brexit would make transferring spare parts between countries difficult because of customs restrictions.

“We are worried that it could take longer to move spare parts between the central storage unit in Stansted and other airports when we need them quickly”, Karsten Muehlenfeld said when talking about the London airport.

The budget airline’s CEO Michael O’Leary is a fervent critic of Brexit. However, he has said that his Irish airline will not be as severely affected as other companies based in Britain as it is registered in Ireland.
