Charles Michel calls on UK Parliament to find a “clear” way out

Prime Minister Charles Michel “deeply regretted" British Parliament’s new vote of rejection on the Brexit withdrawal agreement on Friday. "I ask the UK authorities to act in the interests of the country and to present a clear way forward," Michel tweeted.

The Belgian PM will meet once more with his European colleagues on Wednesday 10 April in Brussels for an extraordinary summit on the Brexit convened by EU President Donald Tusk.

According to a Council official, the EU expects indications from the UK "in time for the European Council to review them."

Details are yet to be determined, but the British PM Theresa May could participate at the beginning of the meeting, as she did on 21 March, the same source added.
