The Belgian football federation, URBSFA, on Friday launched a new campaign, #REDTOGETHER, to highlight and tap into the unifying power of soccer. A video spot titled "Jamais seul, toujours ensemble" [‘Never alone, always together’] marks the official launch of the campaign. “It’s not only the Red Devils who are highlighted, but also the other actors involved in our football: the Red Flames (women’s national team), the Hopes (under 21s), the national futsal teams, the various national youth teams, the national handifoot teams, the Belgian Homeless Devils and Flames, and staff, supporters and commercial partners,” URBSFA Spokesman Pierre Cornez said. “Football has a unifying power and, as Romelu Lukaku says at the end of the video, WE ARE #REDTOGETHER."
"Evidently, this campaign will be used to promote and support our Red Devils with an eye to the World Cup in Russia, but it will also be used within a much larger, longer-term framework,” Cornez added. “It’s a well-thought-out choice because our objective is to integrate actors from different environments inherent to football. It is essential for us Belgians always to remain united, in good times and bad. It’s only in this way that we can achieve great things.”
