Pro football league to elect interim chairman on Monday to replace Vanden Stock
Roger Vanden Stock

The board of directors of the Pro League meets Monday morning for the third time in 2018. A few hours later the general meeting meets for the first time this year. After three years under the chairmanship of Roger Vanden Stock, both board meetings will take place without him.

Vanden Stock was appointed chairman of the Pro League at the end of April 2015, but resigned his mandate in February. Without the retirement of the chairman of RSC Anderlecht, the Board of Directors must first appoint a chairman for the board meetings in accordance with the articles of association of the Pro League. No successor has yet been named. The election of a new chairman will take place at the general meeting on 5 June of this year.

In addition to Vanden Stock, two new board posts have to be filled. Patrick Janssens, fired from KRC Genk, and Luc Devroe, who left Ostend, are no longer allowed to sit on the board of directors. Their substitutes will be appointed in accordance with the articles of association of the Pro League on Monday. A simple majority suffices to be elected.
