The Best of FIFA Football Awards gala will be held on Monday evening at La Scala in Milan. Red Devils Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne are on the list of 55 candidates for the FIFA/FIFPro World 11, the top eleven players in 2019.

This team is composed following the vote of professional footballers around the world. Each professional player chooses a goal keeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards for the period from 16 July 2018 to 19 July 2019.

Last year, Hazard joined the Eleven of the Year for his world performances in 2018. De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku were also among the nominees.

Other awards will be presented during the evening. The most anticipated is the FIFA World Player of the Year. The three finalists are Argentina's Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona), Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) and Netherlands’ Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), recently elected UEFA Player of the 2018/2019 season. Last year, the Croatian Luka Modric won the title.

Best female player, FIFA Coach of the Year in both men and women championships, as well as male and female goal keeper of the year and the Puskas Award for the best goal will be awarded.
