Attack on the Tunis museum – Foreign Office still looking for a missing Belgian

The Foreign Office is still looking for a Belgian who was probably present during the attack at the Bardo museum in Tunis on Wednesday. The Foreign office spoke to the Belga agency on Thursday morning. The missing person was travelling with the Belgian who was injured on Wednesday, whose life is not in danger. The missing Belgian tourist is not on the patient list of any of the Tunis hospitals. The Foreign office will now check the registers at the town’s morgues. 19 people – 17 tourists and 2 Tunisians – died during Wednesday’s attack at the Bardo museum. An automatic weapon was used, and the attack lasted around 4 hours. No-one has yet claimed responsibility.

According to the Tunisian Prime Minister, the attackers opened fire on tourists getting off their bus, and chased after them through the museum’s corridors.
