Islamic State: Belgian IS fighter killed by British drone in Syria

Belgian jihadist Abu Ayman al-Belgiki was allegedly killed in a drone attack by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) in Syria last August, reveals the daily Sudpresse on Thursday. The news was confirmed by historian and Jihad expert Pieter Van Ostaeyen.

The researcher was informed by Belgians in Syria, and confirmed that the Belgian IS fighter was killed in a British attack: “The man was from Antwerp and was one of the first Belgians to go fight in Syria. I have no other information to provide,” revealed Mr. Van Ostaeyen to Belga press agency.

So according to the expert, Abu Ayman al-Belgiki was not from Vilvorde as Sudpresse had previously indicated.

The Foreign Secretary’s office would not answer Belga’s request for a confirmation of the news.

Abu Ayman al-Belgiki was allegedly killed whilst riding in a car with 2 other British jihadists on August 21st. The 2 other men were on the list of “Is fighters to eliminate” drawn up by the British government, according to Sudpresse.
