2015 could be warmest year ever recorded

2015 could be the warmest year ever recorded, and average temperatures may well reach the emblematic 1°C above pre-industrial era (1880-1899) temperatures, reveals a study by the World Meteorological Organisation (OMM), published on Wednesday. “The trend for 2015 seems to point to this being the warmest year ever” and “average temperatures on Earth will probably reach the (…) 1 degree Celsius above pre-industrial era temperatures threshold,” says the Geneva-based agency.
