Arrest warrants for three individuals for participation in a terrorist group's activities.

A woman and two men aged 24, 26 and 32 were arrested on Tuesday, accused of playing a part in a terrorist group's activities by an investigating judge, specialising in terrorism, the Federal Prosecutor's Office indicated on Tuesday. Earlier the same day, seven other individuals had been arrested during nine searches led in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Koekelberg, Schaerbeek and Etterbeek, as part of an investigation relating to a recruitment network with ties to self-styled Islamic State.

The case, as part of which, Azzeddine K., of French nationality (26), Marianna A. (32) and Mohammed O. (24) - the latter two being of Belgian nationality - have been arrested, is linked to this investigation. This, in particular, has allowed investigators to ascertain that several individuals went to Syria to join the Islamic State organisation.

Seven other individuals who been held in custody, gave evidence to the Federal Criminal Police, and were later let go by the investigating judge.

Objects seized during searches, in particular hardware and mobile telephones, are currently being examined.
