Four people were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stealing over 3,000 bottles of Vosne-Romanée wine in France.
582 bottles of wine were stolen in the French village of Côte-d'Or, that produces some of the French Burgundy region's most famous wines like Romanée-Conti, on 31 December 2018. Three months later, another 2,478 bottles were stolen in the same area, reports L'Express.
The total cost of all stolen bottles is estimated at €179,000, with an average of €58 per bottle.
On Tuesday, a "major operation" was carried out, leading to the arrest of "the four main suspects", according to Eric Mathais, the public prosecutor of Dijon, reports RTBF.
