Philippe Henry, vice-president of the government of Wallonia and regional minister for climate, energy, mobility and infrastructure, has been under police protection for several days due to threats against him, Le Soir reported on Tuesday evening.

The threats, considered serious by the police and the Coordination Unit for Threat Assessment(OCAM), were issued in writing and are linked to “a case being processed by the regional government,” according to the newspaper.

The ecologist has therefore been placed under close protection, with bodyguards, escorts, rounds near his home and office.
