RSC Anderlecht lost 1-0 to KAA Gent on Sunday, their first defeat in the Jupiler Pro League since 18 January. The Brussels side now sits in tenth place in the league, four points off the European qualification.
In their trip to Gent on Sunday, Anderlecht had hoped to continue their good form since the arrival of new manager Brian Riemer. The club from the capital would have been encouraged by the many chances created in the first half. The rest of the game proved to be an uneventful affair for the neutral.
However, KAA Gent controlled the game in the second half. The Flemish side's persistence paid off with their striker Gift Orban scoring to make it 1-0 in the 57th minute.
