NASA's Perseverance rover finds ingredients for life on Mars

The Perseverance rover is searching for traces of ancient life in samples collected from the Jezero Crater. On 23 November, the teams behind the rover's specialised instruments published three studies summarising their findings. The team estimates that Mars hosted water about 3.8 billion years ago. Perseverance also found organic molecules, key ingredients for life, which confirms that the Jezero Crater once enjoyed habitable conditions.
