A man was arrested for threatening to commit a terrorist attack on board a Thalys train on Friday morning. Police apprehended the individual at the Lorraine train station in the east of France.
The train had been running from the city of Colmar, near the Franco-German border, towards Paris, when the man started to threaten passengers.
Police managed to arrest the assailant, with a spokesperson for France's national railway company SNCF confirming that the situation was now under control.

However, the incident did result in the train being delayed for over an hour and a half, with further disruptions expected on the railway line.
