Brussels by Water announced on Friday that the Waterbus service, connecting Brussels to Vilvorde via the canal, will resume on 1 May 2024.

This public transport service accommodates a variety of journeys, from private trips to tourist expeditions.

Key stations, including Brussels/Molenbeek (Sainctelette – Port Avenue), Van Praet Bridge, Neder-Over-Heembeek, Cruise Terminal, Vilvorde’s Trois Fontaines Park, and Vilvorde Centre, link passengers to conventional public transport services like trams, metros, and buses.

These stations are situated near park-and-ride facilities, parks, shopping centres, leisure areas, residential, and commercial districts.

In 2024, the Waterbus will operate from Monday to Friday between 1 May and 30 June, and from 15 August to 31 October. In addition, during the summer period from 1 July to 14 August, it will provide service seven days a week.
