The Titanic exhibition at Tour & Taxis has been extended until 30 June, organisers announced on Tuesday.

Having been anchored in Brussels since 15 March, the exhibition has proven popular among visitors. Detailed recreations of specific rooms from the luxurious British passenger liner allow attendees to immerse themselves in the Titanic experience.

Over 200 artefacts are on display that were retrieved from the ship's wreckage. These objects add depth to the poignant stories of the Titanic's passengers and the ill-fated vessel which lies 3,500 metres deep off the coast of Newfoundland (Canada), following its disastrous collision with an iceberg on 14 April 1912 which claimed approximately 1,500 lives.

Spanning an area of approximately 1,500 square metres, the exhibition begins by presenting visitors with a replica of a Titanic boarding pass.

"This marks the start of a journey back in time, from the construction of the RMS Titanic to its sinking, life onboard, recovery missions for items from the ocean floor and even the preservation of the wreck site," explained the organisers.
