Just under seven weeks before Brussels' Couleur Café will reopen its gates at the foot of the Atomium to music lovers for the 33rd time, the organisation has revealed nine new acts.

The festival will take place from 28 to 30 June in Brussels' Osseghem Park. Couleur Café has already secured the likes of Action Bronson, Tyla, Fatoumata Diawara, Bad Gyal, Tems, JPEGMAFIA and Masego, among many others. Now, it has released another nine acts.

Straight from the Matongé neighbourhood, Friday will see the arrival of Kabola: a new generation of Brussels-Congolese musicians, masters of modern rumba and sebene. Following them, Jamaican artist Jesse Royal will seduce the audience with his soul-infused lyrics, paying homage to roots reggae.

Discovering the Belgian rap scene

Next up is Blaqbonez, a promising young talent on the Nigerian music scene, whose lyrical charm with afrobeat and hip-hop sounds is sure to set the crowd on fire. The party will continue with Buruntuma, one of the standout talents on Lisbon's Afro-house scene.

Finally, Julian Marley will bring the curtain down on this first day of the festival with his Latin and reggae rhythms.

On Sunday, Niveau4 will mark a new chapter: since its inception in 2016, this hip-hop platform has been a breeding ground for discoveries in the Belgian rap scene.

After five impactful editions, the concept is taking a new turn by spotlighting emerging artists from the region and making them known in Brussels and beyond. Hulk Van JMF, Tawsen, Mavee, Geekoo, Miss Angel, Yung Mavu, and Ekany will be the seven stars of this new edition.

Also on Sunday, the O.B.F collective x Iration Steppas will offer a turbo-charged blend of techno-dub and reggae. French electro-dub prodigy JAEL will emerge as a must-discover figure, following closely in the footsteps of the acclaimed Biga*Ranx, who has already been announced for Saturday.

To conclude this new announcement on a high note, Couleur Café is switching gears with the talented Chilean DJ Paula Tape and her electrifying turntable mixes.
