The annual Environment Festival is set to take place on 2 June at Tour & Taxis Park in Brussels, event organiser Brussels Environment announced on Wednesday.
The heart of the event will be the Brussels Environment Village erected under the park’s grand marquee. Here, experts will offer interactive activities and explain easy steps citizens can take for a more sustainable daily life.
The festival will collaborate with about 50 environmental organisations, such as Natagora, ASBL Sparrows & Biodiversity, Less concrete and Pro Bike, which will organise activities and share useful tips and tricks.
An array of other free activities will be available throughout the day: from workshops focussing on circus skills and tightrope walking to obstacle races for bicycles and scooters, e-bike trials, making beauty and maintenance products, textile up-cycling workshops, and guided tours of Tour & Taxis.
All this will take place against a backdrop of concerts and brass bands.
