In the second quarter of 2024, Wallonia's Minister for Sports Infrastructure, Adrien Dolimont, approved preliminary plans for 17 projects valued at €20.28 million.

Moreover, 12 sports infrastructure applications received a firm subsidy pledge totalling €8.5 million. This combined proposed expenditure sums up to nearly €29 million, his office announced on Thursday.

These subsidies are distributed quarterly and contribute to the development and maintenance of sports facilities.

Criteria taken into account include the observance of ethical charters, accessibility for those with reduced mobility, energy-efficient construction practices, and the use of sustainable materials.
