The 38th Night of the Proms will feature guitarist Dave Stewart, dancehall star Shaggy, pianist Louis Philippson, and singer-presenter Niels Destadsbader in the Antwerp’s Sportpaleis on 22 and 23 of November.
These leading artists will be performing alongside the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra, the Fine Fleur choir, all under the leadership of conductor Alexandra Arrieche.
Dave Stewart will share the highlights of his Eurythmics repertoire, accompanied by the voice of Vanessa Amorosi, performing classics including Sweet Dreams, Here Comes The Rain Again, When Tomorrow Comes, and There Must Be An Angel.
Shaggy promises an energetic and party-like atmosphere with his hits such as Boombastic, It Wasn’t Me, Angel, Hey Sexy Lady, and I Need Your Love.
Louis Philippson is a TikTok classical music sensation, whose talent was discovered at age seven led him to the esteemed Robert Schumann Hochschule in Dusseldorf. The 19-year-old German pianist blends classical tunes with modern pop.
The event will be hosted by singer, actor and TV personality Niels Destadsbader, whose debut album in 2016 featured hits like Playtime, Conquer Me, and The World Turns For You.
The event organisers will soon announce additional acts for the lineup.
