The Hainaut Court of First instance, Mons Division, on Monday sentenced a man to three years' imprisonment for rape and forcible confinement.
The man, who is from North Africa, was also fined €400 for illegal residence on European territory.
The accused, who used different identities, was arrested in Antwerp in January following a robbery.
He was found guilty of rape and forcible confinement committed on the night of 8-9 October 2021 in La Louvière, Hainaut.
The defendant had been contacted by the complainant to provide her with a cocaine pellet. According to the plaintiff, he locked her in her home and forced her to perform oral sex on him.
His semen was found in a blanket, which made it possible for police to confirm his identity.
At his trial, the defendant disputed the facts, claiming that it was the victim who had thrown herself at him and forced him to have sex.
