'The Boss' is coming to Werchter (Flemish Brabant) next week and Flemish public transport company De Lijn is offering a free shuttle service for the occasion.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will play Werchter Stadium on Tuesday 2 July and concert-goers will be able to take a free shuttle bus from Leuven Station to the venue from 12:00 to 02:00 on the day.

"This way, fans can enjoy the concert and at the same time reduce their ecological footprint," stated De Lijn.

The journey will take around 15 minutes, and passengers must not bring folding bicycles or scooters on board. It is also advised to check the route planner or the De Lijn app ahead of time.

Aside from making the venue more accessible and reducing people's carbon footprint, the measure aims to ease congestion around Werchter Stadium. Wet weather in recent weeks has reduced parking availability as "some areas are too swampy," De Lijn noted. "There are therefore a limited number of parking spaces for Bruce Springsteen's performance."

The company adds that demand for shuttle services will likely be higher than usual as a result and asks all concert-goers for patience and understanding in the event of delays.
