An elderly German reported missing in the Fagnes area has been found alive, the Vesdre Gueule police zone reported on Wednesday evening.
Peter Thoma, born on 1st September 1934 and resident in Germany, had travelled to the Fagnes for a hike. After his car was found abandoned, and with no sign of life from Thoma for about 20 hours, a missing person alert was issued.
He was eventually located alive, the police said, without providing any further details.
