Construction of Copernic, a future business hub for medium and large businesses in Haren, north east Brussels, is set to begin in September.
In 2018, Brussels region’s public development company citydev.brussels purchased the site, which spans 13,000 sqm of construction area.
The plot is strategically positioned next to the Haren training station, near Brussels Airport and Brussels' ring road.
The Copernic project is Brussels’ answer to the growing need for larger office spaces for medium and large enterprises within the Belgian capital.
It aims to cater to businesses that require larger areas – between 1,000 and 2,500 sqm which can be adjusted to their needs – a gap not met by small and medium enterprises (SME’s).
The site will be divided into seven independent modules, each respecting the existing structure of the different buildings. Every hall will be self-contained, boasting its own reception structure, offices, meeting rooms, toilets, kitchenettes and technical premises.
Nearly 17% of the area will be set aside for green spaces.
