Two 11-year-old children have been killed in a stabbing incident in the British coastal town of Southport, according to a the UK police.
Nine other children suffered injuries in the incident, with six currently in a critical condition, while two adults were also seriously injured.
Details of the incident, which took place in Southport, located between Liverpool and Blackpool in North West England, remain unclear.
According to the BBC, the children were attending an event themed around music artist Taylor Swift when the assailant struck.
It is believed that the adults were injured while attempting to intervene during the attack.
Police arrested a 17-year-old male from the neighbouring town of Banks, and confiscated a knife.
