Belgium’s premier bio fair, the Valériane, is set to take place at the Namur Expo from 6-8 September under the organisation of the Nature & Progress Association.

The 39th edition, themed 'Act Together' (Agir ensemble), offers a broad selection of eco-responsible and organic products and innovative solutions across sectors such as gardening, nutrition, agriculture, health, crafts, housing, energy, cosmetics, and textiles.

In addition to the exhibition, an extensive programme comprising over 50 free lectures and workshops will be available. Topics to be covered include sustainable eating, eco-gardening, and the production of natural cosmetics.

A key feature of this year’s edition is a dedicated space for "citizen and collective initiatives", which will highlight projects focused on energy transition and mutual aid.

Eco-enthusiasts will find a wealth of ideas at the "housing & energy" village, while foodies can take part in live culinary demonstrations.

Traditional craft techniques will get a look in too, with willow weaving workshops showcasing the craft of making bee hives from twisted rye straw.

Aiming to ensure the event is family-friendly, a dedicated children’s area will offer games, readings and animations throughout the weekend.
