A pancake boat crashed into a dock in Rotterdam on Friday afternoon, resulting in several minor injuries, Dutch public broadcaster NOS reported.
The incident involving the floating pancake restaurant occurred around 2:20 p.m. at Parkhaven. Police estimated that there were around 100 people onboard at the time.
All the passengers were taken off the boat and tended to promptly.
Emergency medical services examined fourteen passengers on the spot. Two individuals were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
According to local broadcaster Rijnmond, the boat had just set off when it crashed front-first into the dock. This collision caused significant damage to the front of the boat and the dock.
The cause of the mishap is currently under investigation. However, the police confirmed that the captain was not under the influence of alcohol.
