Dave De Kock (aged 37), who killed a toddler, Dean ( aged 4) in early 2022, is suspected of having sexually abused the boy before murdering him. He is also said to have abused Dean’s older sister, who is now 9. The details were reported by Het Laatste Nieuws, which has sources close to the investigation.

Dave and his ex Romy W. allegedly had the children take nude photos. The children’s mother filed a complaint with the police in October 2022. Dean was murdered in January of that year when the couple looked after him for a few days.

Material evidence of the sexual abuse is said to be lacking for the time being. For example, a tablet with nude images of Dean’s sister has not been found. However, during an interrogation by a specialised police team, the girl made statements that an expert believes are credible.

Romy W. herself denies any possible involvement in the abuse. No form of sexual abuse was found during Dean’s autopsy.
