Two men were promptly arrested after committing a burglary at a restaurant on Place Sainte-Catherine, Brussels.
Local police were alerted by their suspicious behaviour and, in particular, the fact that they had a safe in their possession.
An anti-aggression patrol from the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone spotted the pair around 6 a.m. on Rue du Vieux Marché aux Grains on Friday. One of the suspects was pushing a safe on a bicycle, assisted by the other.
When the police conducted a check, they also found a computer and four tablets used for restaurant orders among the individuals’ belongings.
Both men are suspected of stealing the items from a Sainte-Catherine restaurant after breaking into it. Following their interrogation, they received a summons to appear before a judge in October.
