A controversial biopic about Donald Trump, “The Apprentice”, is due to hit U.S. cinemas in October, just a month before the presidential election.
On 5th November, Trump, the Republican candidate, is set to take on the Democrat Kamala Harris in a closely contested election.
“The Apprentice”, showcases Trump’s early years. Initially portrayed as a somewhat naive newcomer, Trump (played by Sebastian Stan, known for his role in “Captain America”) abandons his principles as he uncovers the intricacies of power, guided by his mentor, lawyer Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong of “Succession”), closely linked to McCarthyism and the New York mafia.
One scene shows Trump violating his first wife, Ivana. We also see him consuming amphetamines and undergoing liposuction and surgery to conceal his hair loss, Los Angeles Times reports.
