Some one hundred circus performers gather at Saturday's Nuit du Cirque

Saturday sees an assembly of stilt walkers, acrobats, jugglers, trapeze artists, and clowns descending at Abbaye d’Aulne for the “Les Nuits du Cirque” circus arts festival.

The goal is to introduce families to performances offered by around a hundred artists, as well as workshops organised by circus schools.

Around thirty shows are scheduled for the day including in Thuin, among others, “Rêve du Japon” by Compagnie André Bouglione, performances from the Traviecircus Duo, Cie Les Yeux dans les Crins, Sirko Senso, Cirk’Enciel and Zazimut.

The doors of the former abbey site will open at 3 pm on Saturday, with the first show scheduled for 4 pm and the curtain falling around midnight.

The full programme can be found on the website www.lesnuitsducirque.be.
