Train services have resumed between Ghent-Saint-Peters and Brussels, confirmed railway network manager Infrabel.
Train services were disrupted on Thursday morning due to a cable theft around 03:00.
The stolen 1,000-volt copper cables, from the Erpe-Mere region in East Flanders, power the network's signals.
The P trains were cancelled, while other services were diverted via Aalst and Denderleeuw.
This caused journeys to be extended by roughly 20 minutes.
