Two people died in a car accident on Brugstraat in Rotem (Limburg Province) on Saturday evening.
At approximately 22h15, the car crashed into a tree. Firefighters from the Oost-Limburg zone arrived to rescue the victims.
The two occupants, a 33-year-old man from Dilsen-Stokkem and a 28-year-old man from Kinrooi, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Limburg public prosecutor’s office has appointed an expert to determine the cause of the accident.
There is currently no indication of third-party involvement.
