The BEL 20 index lost 0.18% on Thursday, closing at 4,274.02 points, with 11 of its components in the red, after rising to 4,299.99 points during the morning.
Lotus Bakeries (12,220) and UCB (176.70) stood out with increases of 1.33% and 1.70%, while Umicore (10.88) and Ageas (48.44) followed with gains of 0.74 and 0.75%. AB InBev (59.86) was up 0.17%, D'Ieteren (188.60) and Melexis (70.50) increased by 0.27% and 0.57%, and Elia (92.20) gained 0.44%.
On the other hand, KBC (66.84) was down 1.42%, arGEN-X (513.60) and Galapagos (27.18) lost 1.72% and 1.45% respectively, Solvay (38.68) gave up 0.31% and Syensqo (72.44) fell by 2.50%, leading the declines.
WDP (22.36) regained 0.72%, while Cofinimmo (60.90) and Aedifica (60.70) lost 0.57% and 0.08% respectively.
Outside the BEL 20, Kinepolis (38.00) and Ontex (8.09) fell by 5.59% and 6.47% respectively, while the capital increase at Onward Medical (4.81) sent its shares plummeting by 15.91%.
CMB.Tech (14.13) shed 3.4%, while Iep Invest (5.20) fell by 3.7%. Atenor (4.11) and Cenergy (8.97) were up 3.3% and 2.5% respectively. Biosenic (0.0085) lost 21.3%, but Celyad (0.269) was up by 2.7%.
At around 4.30 p.m, the euro was trading at $1.0800, compared with $1.0775 the previous day. Gold bullion was trading at around €81,135, up by €40.
