Three young teenagers have been brought before a juvenile judge for a homophobic assault committed on Saturday in Ostend.
The three alleged attackers, two aged 13 and one aged 14, broke the nose of an employee of Regenbooghuis Ostend, a centre for sexual orientation and gender identity information.
The teenagers had already caused trouble at the organisation previously.
On Saturday, the 54-year-old employee had to be hospitalised for his injuries.
The public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation and identified four youths. Three of them have been apprehended and brought to justice after being questioned.
