Enjoy a unique collection of more than 40 Maserati cars – each model a masterpiece – put together in collaboration with Alfieri Magazine, Classiche Masters, ACG Maserati Ghent & Brussels, Cadycars Ieper, and the renowned Umberto Panini Motor Museum.
The exhibition tells the fascinating story of Maserati, founded in 1914 by brothers Alfieri, Carlo, Bindo, Mario, Ettore, and Ernesto Maserat.
A journey through 110 years of innovation
Although the company was founded in Bologna as early as 1914, it was not until 1926 that Maserati appeared on the grid with its own racing car. In the years before, the Maserati brothers focused on preparing and racing for other brands, further refining their technical expertise and passion for speed. The Tipo 26, designed and built entirely by Maserati themselves, marked a turning point in their history. With this car, Alfieri Maserati won the prestigious Targa Florio and anchored the brand’s place inmotorsport.
However, the road to success was not without obstacles. A turbulent period forced the Maserati brothers to sell their company to industrialist Adolfo Orsi in 1937. This takeover ushered in a new era in which the company continued to develop, including a move to Modena, where Maserati’s legacy continues to this day.
Until 1946, Maserati focused exclusively on building racing cars. In the following years, the brand continued to shine on the track, culminating in the 250F, the Formula 1 car with which Juan Manuel Fangio won his world title in 1957. These and other iconic racing cars from Maserati’s glorious competition history can be admired at Autoworld.
From 1946, Maserati also focused on designing elegant passenger cars. The introduction of the A6 1500 ushered in a new chapter, combining performance with refinement and beauty. Models like the 3500 GT, Mistral, Ghibli, Merak, and Khamsin embody Maserati’s commitment to the ultimate Gran Turismo lifestyle.
These icons are presented on thematic islands, which take visitors on a journey through time and highlight Maserati’s rich heritage. From racetracks to elegant boulevards, this exhibition showcases Maserati’s innovative power, but also the resilience with which the brand has overcome obstacles and created timeless beauty.
Present and future
Maserati’s current range is also highlighted. Among other things, ACG Maserati is exhibiting a specially designed promo model, in line with Autoworld’s tradition of unique colour designs.
